A Plouton Life Fiduciary Report

Most annuities are sold.
Yours should be designed with you.

Wealth isn't a transaction. It's a design decision. The annuity industry spends billions convincing retirees they need a product. At Plouton Life we ask a different question. Does this contract actually move you closer to the life you're building. Or is it moving somebody else closer to their commission check.

The Annuity Truth Report is the fiduciary breakdown we built for our own clients. A plain English tool for turning an annuity conversation from transactional to transformational. Use it before you sign anything.

The uncomfortable part

The person pitching you the annuity is often the person least qualified to tell you if you need one.

1

Captive agents sell what they're paid to sell.

If a carrier pays 8% commission on Product A and 2% on Product B, guess which one ends up in the binder.

2

Riders get stacked until the math stops working.

Income rider. Death benefit rider. Long term care rider. Each one is a fee. Each one chips away at the number you actually retire on.

3

The illustration is a sales tool. Not a plan.

A 60 page illustration with one hypothetical return on page 12 is not a financial plan. It is a prop. We'll show you the difference.

What's inside the report

A plain English breakdown of what the brochures leave out.

  • 01
The five annuity types, ranked by honesty. Fixed. MYGA. Fixed Indexed. Variable. Immediate. What each one is actually built to do.
  • 02
The fee map. Mortality and expense. Admin. Rider. Surrender. Where every dollar of your money goes before it compounds.
  • 03
Seven questions your advisor hopes you don't ask. Print this. Bring it to the meeting.
  • 04
When an annuity genuinely fits. There are cases. We'll name them.
  • 05
Where it fits in the WELLth framework. How we position annuities inside a transformational wealth plan. Or leave them out entirely.

After the report

If you want a second opinion on a real contract, here's how that works.

Step one

You read the report.

Twenty minutes. No call, no pitch. Most people get what they need right here.

Step two

Book a paid diagnostic.

$97. We review your actual annuity contract (or the one you're being pitched) line by line. You keep the recording and the write up, even if you never work with us.

Step three

Decide with clarity.

Keep it. Swap it. Cancel inside the free look window. Or build a plan where the annuity is one instrument instead of the whole orchestra.

From our clients

Questions

The things people actually ask us.

Is Plouton Life anti annuity?

No. We hold licenses to sell them. We're anti bad annuity. There's a meaningful difference, and most of the industry counts on you not knowing it.

What if I already own one?

Read the report first. Then book the $97 diagnostic if you want a real audit. In many cases the right move is to keep the contract and optimize around it. Sometimes it's a 1035 exchange. Occasionally it's cancel inside the free look window. We tell you which, and why.

Who is this for?

Anyone 50 or older with at least $100k in retirement assets who has been pitched an annuity or is considering one. If somebody handed you a 60 page illustration last week, this report is for you.

Do you get paid if I buy one?

Only if we're the agent of record on a contract a client chose after a full fiduciary review. We disclose every dollar before you sign. If an annuity isn't right for you, our job is to say so out loud.

What is WELLth, and why does it matter here?

WELLth is how we talk about wealth that integrates health, relationships, and prosperity. Annuities only matter to the degree they serve that bigger picture. Your money has a job. Protect. Produce. Grow. Give. An annuity belongs in exactly one of those boxes. The report shows you which.

About

Plouton Life. Taking wealth from transactional to transformational.

Plouton Life is the advisory practice founded by Pete Foldes. The mandate is simple. Help high performers move from accumulation to contribution, and stop the quiet bleeding that happens when good people trust the wrong product.

We're licensed. We're fiduciary. We run real money for real families. And we publish what we know, because the alternative is letting the industry keep setting the terms of the conversation.

Every client we take on is a ripple. The work we do with one family keeps moving outward. That's the design.

Plouton Life is a marketing brand. Insurance and annuity products are offered through licensed agents. This site is educational. It is not tax, legal, or investment advice.

You only buy a retirement annuity once.

Get the report. Read it twice. Then make the call.
